The old lock and key locks are not always the best option for today’s homeowners.  With new technology, there are better options for locking a house. Smart security products are a new obsession for many homeowners that want to protect their investments inside the home.  There are a slew of options available, each with their own features to offer.

Schlage Sense

This lock is one that combines the old with the new.  It still uses a typical lock and key for those that want to keep a key with them.  However, it adds the ability to use a keypad with a code to enter the house, as well.

By using the code there are features that allow the homeowner to access the lock with their smartphone or even through a home network.  The lock can be used with the Schlage Sense WiFi adapter or with Bluetooth.

Yale Deadbolt Lock

Some people like to use an all-in-one home network to have a system that works flawlessly with all systems.  For example, the Nest brand has many products that are designed to make life easier and safer. The Yale Deadbolt lock uses a keypad that is connected through the Nest app.  It can be used with assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant.

August Smart Lock Pro

The August Smart Lock Pro is a different take on installing a new smart lock.  Instead of a whole new lock system, this one works with the current locks that are on the door.  This setup allows the user to keep their current keys and still use smart lock functions. It can be used with all of the big name brand assistants, too.

Kwikset Kevo

Kwikset Kevo specializes in gaining access to the home quickly.  It looks very similar to a traditional deadbolt and can still use a traditional key to gain entry into the home.  However, if using a smartphone the deadbolt only needs to be tapped to unlock.

Yale Assure SL

Similar to the Yale Deadbolt Lock, the Yale Assure SL is a new and improved version of a lock that already worked well.  The Yale Assure SL has even more features for the user to enjoy. It can be connected to more devices so users can pair it with almost any smart device desired to unlock the lock.   A key feature of this lock is the fact it is extremely easy to install and even easier to use.

Staying safe if a priority for homeowners.  It can be easy to forget to lock the door when leaving in a hurry in the morning.  With a smart lock, a homeowner does not have to worry about leaving their home unattended the entire day.  They can simply use the many features on their smart locks to make sure their house is protected at all times.
